Drapery and More

Since we are renting here in New Mexico, we haven't painted walls or put up drapery. It just seems like the smartest economical thing to do. BUT..... with the nursery/ guest room we have made a drapery treatment.

I couldn't resist. The fabric was nicely priced and my friend, Leanne, knows how to sew, so we made it. O.K. really she made it and I supervised with my opinions. ha ha I cut some of the fabric and the ribbon, figured the size and drew the dimensioned drawing, and purchased the goods. We made it with team work. he he Here are some pictures. The lighting is dim, early morning light. The fabric is sheer, so when the daylight is shining on it brightly it fades the pattern out a little.

To add some little notes on different subjects while I have your attention...

I have Adam's technical title at work. It's Navigation Test Lab Cheif. It's always hard for me to remember that one.

Another little note is that my Mother, sister and nephew are coming out to visit and help with the baby. They arrive this Saturday which is one day after the due date. I sure hope Baby Fisher works with us, and arrives while they are out here. What a bummer it would be if she is stubborn and arrives by induction on the 9th or 10th. I'll update the blog next Monday with the doctor's appointment if she hasn't come before then. Say a little prayer if you'd like that she'll come soon.

Oh, Adam just called me and told me we won the prize for holding out the longest. Our friend Nikki Pearson just went into labor today. Her due date was three days before ours. We were having similar pains down low on the uterus. She actually emailed me today telling me that she's feeling fine and that she's watching TV shows on giving birth to be prepared. How funny!

Cute drapes! I can't wait to see them in person. Now, Baby Fisher, time to come out...don't wait around like your cousin Merrick did.
