39th Week and Baptism

Adam and I went to the 39th week doctor appointment yesterday. We met with a doctor this time. She didn't have much to say to us other than there's no way of telling when the delivery will happen. She checked to see what the dialation was. It was a big fat zero. She could feel the head though, so we know that the baby is in the desired position and dropped. Let me tell you it was a little painful. I hope to be stronger about the pain during labor. We just wait now, and go to another appointment next Monday. We've been told twice now that if she hasn't been born by the 9th they will induce me.

On another note, I talked with our wonderful cousin Frank Winter about baptism options this last weekend. It was so great to talk with him. He had a heart attack last November, but is recovered now and is even chopping wood again. Anyway, Adam and I both respect him and his teachings as a Lutheran pastor, so we would really like it if he would perform the baptism. He told me it would be wise not to wait more than a couple of months, so Adam and I are playing around with the time frame of July. The location is not decided, but if we want family around we may need to go to Nebraska. All of the traveling with her does not seem fun when she's so small and young. That's something we are going to have to decide soon though. Frank is so wonderful that he said he'd go anywhere we'd want him to. He'd even come down here to Alamogordo. ;)

We're talking about coming to NE this summer to spend some time with family while you're there, and we could do a double baptism!
