Halloween

It was a fun evening with Gwen. Adam came home a bit earlier than normal, so that we could dress her and get to the base to visit some friends before dinner and the routine with Gwen. We planned on making her a sheep costume. I bought some really fun fluffy white fabric and some pink felt for the ears and arm cuffs. I would have had time to make it, but the presentation boards I was making took longer than expected. It ended up that I was cutting out pieces of the pattern between sessions of lying on the floor and resting into the wee hour of midnight. At that time, Adam was doing some school work and wasn't able to help me out. It was then that I decided that we were going to take our friends up on borrowing their pumpkin costume. It just wasn't worth the stress.

This is Georgia. She was a cactus--- homemade. She's 2-1/2 and a super duper cutie. Adam works with her Father. And her Mother is the one that I spoke about right after Gwen was born that is really funny and a lot of fun to talk with.

We stopped at the Bohan's house to see Alayna and baby Emma Elizabeth. She was a pink bear. She is nearly 4 months old. Adam also works with her hubby.

The booties didn't last long. Adam just covered up her feet as we walked around the base neighbor hoods looking at all of the other kids dressed up. Doesn't the house in the background look undesirable? We thought about living on base, and then the pictures Adam showed me (because I was still in Colorado when we had to decide) were a bit frightening.

It was getting dark, but we had one more stop first. Look at the stuffing in the pumpkin. It was a plump costume with quite a bit of stuffing.

Kaden was also a bear. We had some good personality shots here. Gwen didn't exactly LOVE the head piece, but she didn't fuss either. She was tired by this point, so she was kind of in a daze. We bought the leggings at Walmart. We were calling them hot pants which was cracking me up. They had sparkles in them too. The were kind of slimming on her which was funny too since horizontal stripes are suppose to do the opposite. he he

Merrick thinks you look like me Kim, because as we were looking at the photos, he pointed to you and said, "Mom-Mom." Funny!

Cute costume. It sounds like you had a lot of fun.
